One of the graphical generalization operators is displacement operator applied in solving proximity conflicts on maps where objects are not explicitly distinguished or where the objects overlap. Such conflicts may be solved on the strength of energy minimization rule on which active curve models are based. In this paper the method of displacement operator implementation by means of snakes algorithm has been presented. Results quality and quantity evaluation was made by using existing topographic maps. Geometrical shape and location between objects and their equivalents on topographic maps were discriminated.

The main aim of this paper is to gauge the influence on the organization of agriculture space caused by modernizing or relocating highways. The additional aims are to list the economical measurements which are used to estimate the magnitude of compensation for negative changes in farmland and to define need for arrangement-agricultural works. The research was conducted in 3 chosen boroughs (opolskie and lubuskie) on three levels: whole boroughs; record areas and farms influenced by the localization of highway. There were descriptive, graphical, comparative and economical methods used in the analyzes. The results show that there are certain special and economical effects connected with the presence of highways. Some effects appear always, some randomly and some may intensify when the highway is relocated. This paper is an analyze of spatial and economical structures of agriculture productive space in chosen boroughs for two dominant ways of localization highways in Poland. The described boroughs are diverse for a sake of property structure, amount of forests and pattern of farm fields. This gives an opportunity to compare results with propositions of arrangement-agricultural works which shall reduce the negative effects of highways. The results can be used in first process of determining the influence which have linear investments on area objects. The method used in the paper may be useful while estimating compensations for farmers whose fields lay in the neighborhood of highway.

Problem of non-resident owners and their grounds has fundamental meaning in characteristic plot patchwork. It is perceived as adverse match of ownership, which causes increase of cost of agricultural transport and reduce of profitability of rural production. This problem did not appear on area of lower-silesian province but it has appeared in last 10-years XX century. The paper includes the analysis of external plot patchwork in Cieszkow Commune. Besides, it takes attempt of determination of interaction of this phenomenon on local community of farm workers.

Conceptions of instruments for inclination measurement of the observation pillars are presented in the paper. Examples of the construction prepared by authors allow designate an angular and linear inclination of the clinometers located in the geodynamical networks in the Sudety Mts. It makes possible to determine the size of clinometers’ self movements as well as considering them in other measurements.

Abstract

The paper concerns an attempt at estimating of gravity anomalies integration area. Such values have furthermore been used as the additional data in the quasi-geoid interpolation problem. The test calculations were based on gravity data coming from the territory of Poland. The authors have considered two variants of using the gravity data: based on the global geopotential model EGM96 as a reference as well as without taking it into account. The results of test calculations indicate a significant role, which the EGM96 plays in limiting the area of integrating the gravity data. Furthermore, the authors have also determined so called “truncation radiuses” for the test data.

GPS heighting is considered as an alternative to classical terrestrial height measuring methods in present time. On ground of accuracy analysis of long term experimental measurements in a testing network and other localities the optimized measuring technology for GPS height differences determination was designed and successfully tested. A reduced observation scheme which can substitute the long sessions with mimimal losses of accuracy is presented together with some practical exemplifications. The technology was successfully applied in determination of detailed quasigeoidal section of 100 km length along the first order levelling lines in south-eastern Moravia. The technology was also tested in long term geodynamic monitoring of mountain areas.

Output of Bernese GPS Software for repeatable (i.e.: geodynamic) GPS surveys contains both movement and accuracy parameters. The GGMatlab modules, created for GAMIT/GLOBK (MiT), implement the movement visualization and trend analysis. This work presents the concept and usage of GGMatlab for Bernese GPS Software. It describes the data conversion procedures and provides several trend analysis examples.
