In the article there is represented the proposal of the application of data systems helping urban area revitalization programmes. The basic assuming of revitalization and their contingence with the need of the elaboration of the informational base which will be helpful in their proper identification and the realization is also included in the paper. For the lack of the existing network system of the information which can be useful for the revitalization processes of urban areas it is proposed the adaptation of the system which exist so far to use with communal accommodation resources management, as the system which is wide enough to collect, make available and transform data for each of revitalization procedures which include following stages, estimations and the realization.

This study presents definitions of spatial order. The relationships between spatial order and spatial security are discussed. The types of constituent elements of space and the options of modifying those elements with the use of GIS tools are described. The paper presents maps and map scales, and the methodology for selecting the applicable scale. Vector and raster graphic methods for developing GIS reports are discussed. The impact of spatial elements on the possible occurrence of threats and their scope has been also determined. The study indicates which elements should receive the greatest attention in the process of creating secure space.

Abstract: The paper presents a method developed for the purpose of allocating land parcels to agricultural farms in a village and, at the same time, to minimize distances between a parcel and a homestead. A major component of the optimization model is the matrix of distances between land parcels and homesteads. This matrix is characterized by large dimensions. Time consuming procedures of computing a matrix of distances and of developing and solving an optimization model have been automated by computer software. Now, it is possible to use the method developed in practice. The optimization rules of rural land layout were presented on the example of a fragmented village of Filipowice situated in the vicinity of Cracow.

For many mountain communities and villages the problem of the agricultural-forest border is not solved by development plans. It is omitted, roughly or badly approached. Because of economic and landscape reasons it is a false assumption. In this paper there are presented rules which should be followed by planning services white marking the agricultural – forest border in the village Sromowce Wyżne which constitutes the southern part of the protective zones of the Pieniny National Park. The described area is extremely sensitive to landscape. At the prezent moment it is exposed to all ecological dangers due to the dam being built on the river Dunajec in Czorsztyn and the stilling basin in Sromowce Wyżne.

On the paper it is represented the proposal of the methodic supporting the rental policy in municipal real estate resources. This methodic was leant on the set of analytic indicators – appointive in the object-oriented seizure which deliver the useful information in decision making in the process of advisable modifying of real rates of the communal locals hire money. The methodical idea became empirically verified to use it for the housing areas in Olsztyn. On this base one formulated the row of practical conclusions that concern needs and possibilities of enforcement of necessary changes in the current rental policy the examined commune.
