TitleTHE DECADE OF ACTA SCIENTIARUM POLONORUM – ARCHITECTURA
AutorAndrzej Ciepielowski
Pages3–16
Keywordsconstruction, journal organization, subject matters
AbstractShow abstract
The journal has been published since 2001 by the Publishing House of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, as one of the fifteen specialist series. So far 27 brochures, 184 articles have been published, 17 articles in English in that number. The authors of papers have been both distinguished scientists and novices. The subjects comprised architecture issues in the broad sense: theoretical principles of construction, designing and modelling, housing and livestock constructions, hydrotechnics – especially its hydraulic and hydrologic principles, building materials, small architecture, selected problems of town and country planning.

TitleAPPLICATION OF BOW-STRINGS AND BUTTRESSES TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION REDISTRIBUTION OF DISPLACEMENTS AND BENDING MOMENTS IN MONOLITHIC RECTANGULAR TANKS
AutorWiesław Buczkowski
Pages17–23
Keywordsrectangular tanks, spatial static work, finite-difference metod
AbstractShow abstract
The paper presents static calculation results of a rectangular tank obtained by numerical metod in a variation approach to finite differences. Spatial character of static work and colaboration between the structure and elastic foundation was taken into account. Moreover, the possible way of rearrangement of wall displacements and bendig moments in individual parts of the tank was shown. It was presented on the base of an example when the bow-strings fastened the opposite walls and the buttresses supported the longer walls in the middle of their span.

TitleLOAD WIND OF BUILDING
AutorAnna Szymczak-Graczyk
Pages25–32
KeywordsKeywords: load wind, buildings design, construction norms
AbstractShow abstract
Conducting of analysis of load is purpose of work by reason of boosted (accrued) loads introduced in 2011 for norm wind change PN-77/B-02011/Az1:2009. Roof of steel room has been included analysis and roof of one-family house. It compare admissible values of loads before introduction of change for norm wind and after its introduction. Orientation serve on roof pack-cloth of wind and walls of buildings with reference to speed of impulse of wind in Poland taking a stand. Obtainment of comparative result was motivation for conducting of account for objects designed 2009 ago and design presently.

TitleREGULAR CONCRETE AS A MATERIAL USED TO ACCUMULATE HEAT IN THE ENERGY-SAVING BUILDING
AutorGabriela Rutkowska, Daniel Zaradkiewicz
Pages33–41
Keywordsregular concrete, heat capacity, heat accumulation
AbstractShow abstract
The paper presents the heat features of a normal concrete as a material able to accumulate heat. The investigations of heat capacity and conductivity were carried out on normal concretes of various classes of mechanical resistance and on a concrete with sealing additive. The investigations were carried out with the TP01 sounder in the Water Centre of WULS. The analysis of the obtained results shows that the increase of heat conductivity coefficient evokes the increase of volumetric heat capacity. If the mass densities of a normal concrete are similar to each other, there can be noticed that the greater is the heat capacity, the smaller is the specific heat.
