AN ATTEMPT AT DETERMINING AN AREA OF INTEGRATING A GRAVITY ANOMALY IN THE QUASI-GEOID INTERPOLATION PROBLEM

Abstract
The paper concerns an attempt at estimating of gravity anomalies integration area. Such values have furthermore been used as the additional data in the quasi-geoid interpolation problem. The test calculations were based on gravity data coming from the territory of Poland. The authors have considered two variants of using the gravity data: based on the global geopotential model EGM96 as a reference as well as without taking it into account. The results of test calculations indicate a significant role, which the EGM96 plays in limiting the area of integrating the gravity data. Furthermore, the authors have also determined so called “truncation radiuses” for the test data.
