Abstract
The paper deals with the chosen buildings of unagricultural functions on Lower Silesian villages. They are often social security homes, old people’s homes and hospitals. These houses, distinguished by big cubature and architectural forms dominate the given village architecture. Three examples of such buildings, localized in the Lower Silesia province, are presented in the paper: in Małkowice village near Wrocław, in suburbs of Ząbkowice Śląskie and in the small village Brzostowo. In the space of years they often were not used in agreement with their assignment for example as schools or dwelling houses, and now they are returning to their primary functions.
