Abstract
The aim of the examination was to evaluate the contamination of cow’s and goat’s milk. The following Cu, Ni, Cd and Pb mean concentrations was recorded: in cow’s milk from polluted area 0.659, 0.2358, 0.007, 0.042 mg/kg; in cow’s milk from area free of industrial pollution 0.227, 0.065, 0.003, 0.019 mg/kg; in goat’s milk from industrial zone 0.671, 0.226, 0.007, 0.043 mg/kg; in goat’s milk from area free of industrial pollution 0.248, 0.063, 0.003, 0.021 mg/kg. The trace elements concentrations in milk from industrial area were significantly higher than the concentrations observed in samples from area free of industrial pollution. However, the Pb levels (0.02 mg/kg) exceeded the limit in both regions.
