Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the sensitivity of strains of Ascosphaera apis to different concentrations of the Citrosept (Citamani) in laboratory conditions. The study was carried out on Sabouraud medium, using the cylinders dilutions method (by Butti). In the experiment the 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1, 2, 4 and 8% concentration of Citrosept were used. Determination MIC (minimal inhibitor concentration) and MFC (minimal fungicidal concentrations) were performed on 7th day of experience. The mean value of MIC for the strains used in the experiment was 1,18 ml of Citrosept’s (0.232% content of bioflavonoids and 11.80 mg of vitamin C) per 100 ml medium, while the value of MFC for these strains was 7.20 ml Citrosept (1.42% bioflavonoids and vitamin C 72.00 mg) per 100 ml of medium. Citrosept showed significant growth inhibitory effects of A. apis and can be potential used in the prevention and control a chalkbrood disease of honeybees.
