VARIATION IN THE BRANCHES OF AORTIC ARCH IN WILD RABBIT (ORYCTOLAGUS CUNICULUS L. 1758)

Abstract
The research involved 34 individuals of wild rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus L. 1758): 22 males and 12 females. From the aortic arch there descended two or three vessels. In 64.7% cases these were: the brachiocephalic artery and left subclavian artery and in 35.3% cases the aortic arch gave rise to the brachiocephalic artery, left common carotid artery and left subclavian artery. There were observed cases (11.1%) of the descent from the trunk for right common carotid artery and the right subclavian artery, thyroid cranial artery.
