This study presents the results of research on the distribution of plots of land located in the village of Filipowice and which are owned by people who live outside the village area. The spatial elements included in the study were the continuous parts of cadastral plots for various types of land use. The study was performed using specialized software MKTopoGUTR, Plikpol and Pole. This software utilizes data in digital form from a numeric cadastre map and from the descriptive part of building registries. Detailed research was performed on 7 common types of plots in the land distribution. The study assesses the present usage of land whose owners live outside the village area as well as an evaluation of the allocation and pattern of these plots in the village. The obtained parameters were evaluated for the efficiency of usage, which made it possible to demonstrate the flaws in existing land allocation and to describe a course of improvement.
