Abstract
Ensuring a safe evacuation of a building supervised by an estate administrator is a process that must be carried out in compliance with established procedures in order to achieve the greatest effectiveness of action. When drawing up an evacuation plan, an estate administrator is obliged to work out norms of conduct considering a number of possible scenarios concerning the occurrence of any unfavourable event for a particular estate. The following article is focused on activities that include the introduction of the Pathfinder programme analyses as a tool of innovative safety engineering in the process of drawing up evacuation plans for a particular estate. Furthermore, a management scheme of the evacuation of people with the use of the Pathfinder programme analyses has also been presented and thanks to which practical recommendations and conclusions has been formulated.
